Friday Films: Neuter that Boy, Spay that Girl
In “celebration” of World Spay Day and the hundreds of spay/neuter surgeries being done this Sunday for Spay Day Sacramento, today’s Friday Film features a catchy little number called Neuter that Boy, Spay that Girl. Every February, Sacramento area veterinarians and volunteers join together to spay and neuter hundreds of dogs and cats belonging to income-qualified families on Spay Day Sacramento. Since 2000, 7,700 dogs and cats have been altered through Spay Day Sacramento, preventing the births of thousands of unwanted animals and reducing the burden on area shelters. Spay Day Sacramento is headed up by the Sacramento Area Animal Coalition (SAAC), who partners with local shelters, U.C. Davis Vet School, several dedicated veterinary clinics, and numerous committed veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other volunteers.
Spay Day 2012 will be held on Sunday, February 26.
