Help Us Raise Funds for Kitties with Your Old Shoes!

LAPCATS is dabbling in the used shoe business! Seriously, there is this great company called ShoeBox Recycling that pays us per pound for collecting second-hand, wearable pairs of men’s, women’s and children’s shoes. They pay postage and then recycle them (79,619 pairs last count) to people in countries around the world where shoes are needed. Your shoes get a new life and the money we earn for collecting them goes directly into our LAPCATS medical fund to help save more shelter cats.
Shoebox Recycling accepts in all wearable pairs of men’s, women’s and children’s shoes in most shapes, sizes and colors. The only shoes they can not recycle are heavy winter boots, skates, blades, flip-flops, slippers, Crocs, and, of course, single shoes or those that are otherwise unusable. As an extra, if you are so inclined, you can send a note via your shoes to the person who ultimately ends up with them.
LAPCATS is trying to set up a local donation spot, but for now, please drop off your shoe donations at LAPCATS during weekend adoption center hours (1 PM-3 PM Saturdays and Sundays in PetSmart) or during business hours at Sacramento County Animal Care, 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. If you have a special donation, please contact us and we will work out other arrangements.

Hi,
I am not sure if this goes directly to Barbara but I would be happy to get more involved here and get as many shoes as I can…I have a few questions. Would the main coordinator of this fundraising drive give me a call at your convenience…I have some idea on how we can do great with this….
Sincerely, Jaime Davis 916-320-6336
