A very sad but common situation; please keep your kitties safe. If you want to share the “great outdoors”, consider cat fence or some kind of an enclosure or “catio” as a compromise. It’s a “win-win” situation.

My Disciples,

I am filled with a deep sadness today that is also tinged with anger.  Another one of My feline brothers has become a victim of his guardians’ failure to keep him safely contained.  The Guardians of Otis met this kitty only once.  He was an older Siamese mix that lived about a quarter-mile from our home.  On the day the Guardians met him, the kitty was sitting in the sun in his driveway.  The kitty began to roll and purr when the Guardians spoke to him.

I imagine that this is what people who let their cats roam free think their kitties need, free and unfettered access to sunshine and fresh air.  But the car tire that is visible in the photo that the Guardians took of the Siamese kitty is also something that is very common in the world without walls.  Unfettered access to sunshine and fresh…
