Friday Films: Popeye in “Be Kind to Animals”

imageMay is National Be Kind to Animals Month.   With that in mind, today’s Friday Film is a classic and very old: accordingly to the notes on YouTube, the film was originally aired on February 22, 1935!  But even then, there was a known link between animal abuse and abuse to humans, especially the humans who can not or will not fight back.  Bullies can be found everywhere.  It also shows “the bad guy” taking out his anger and frustration with additional abuse.

The Humane Society of the United States has some excellent information on the relationship between animal and human abuse, if you wish to read further.
