Friday Films: World Rabies Day September 28, 2012

In recognition of World Rabies Day, today’s Friday Film is a refresher on the dreaded disease rabies.  Did you know that every year, more than 55,000 people in the world die from rabies?  That’s 1 person every 10 minutes!  Learn more about this serious disease, including who is affected by rabies; how rabies is spread; how to recognize a rabid animal; and how to protect yourself and your pets from rabies in this video.

Also, in recognition of World Rabies Day, Banfield Pet Hospital and Pfizer is sponsoring free rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs with the purchase of an animal license on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at nine locations between Auburn and Elk Grove.  For information, see the flyer, visit or contact  Five dollar ($5.00) microchipping will be available in Folsom.
