Friday Films: The Hemingway Cats

Since both LAPCATS and Sacramento County Animal Care have had a bunch of polydactyl (multi-toes) cats lately, it seems like a good time to tell the story of the Hemingway cats, and how they got their name.  Some people claim polydactyl cats have specific characteristics (other than multi-toes) like a breed in itself, but present theory is that it is just a genetic mutation.

More information on the Hemingway Museum and its cats is covered in this New York Times article. More on polydactyl cats can be found here too.
