Friday Films: “Ricky” Wins 2014 Catdance Film Festival

The 2014 Catdance Film Festival Winner is…“Ricky” UCLA MFA Candidate and Filmmaker Simon Savelyev wins $50,000 Grand Prize and the Coveted Golden Litter Scoop.

Savelyev has a dog, Romy, who is afraid of other dogs, but she loves cats. Last year he adopted a friend for her: a kitten named Ricky. The film is the story of their meeting.  This film is narrated–but unscripted–by his 7-year-old neighbor, Willa, and follows Ricky and Romy as they get to know each other.
