Promoting adoption, spay/neuter, and forever homes

LAPCATS is a special Sacramento County Animal Care (SCACR) program run by SCACR volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer either with LAPCATS or at the main shelter at 3839 Bradshaw Road, (or both!) you must first attend a volunteer orientation meeting.  These meetings are held monthly in the SCACR classroom.  Exact dates are posted on the SCACR website and Facebook page a week or two in advance.  No reservations are needed; just show up for the class.  Volunteers do have to be at least 18 years old.

Find more information on volunteering (including a list of possible jobs) at the Volunteer Information Center.
